THE ARTWORK
The shape of a city.
A map drawn by time.
In Bangkok, a pale urban mass gathers at the head of a bay, and a turquoise river winds down from the north to meet the sea. A small dark-green loop of land sits within one of its bends. Around the city, farmland spreads in fine bands and ripples of teal, sage and slate blue, while open water at the base of the composition glows in bright aqua. The panoramic format lets the eye travel laterally, from the dense, light texture of the city to the soft, patterned fields and meandering channels at its edges.
