THE ARTWORK
The rhythm of cultivation.
A landscape woven in color.
In Reese, rectangular fields stretch diagonally across the image in shades of turquoise, deep teal, coral and pale mint, with flashes of magenta and near-black. Fine roads hold the parcels together, while winding channels and clusters of buildings interrupt their regular arrangement. Set in Michigan, USA, this work from Federico Winer’s FIELDS series explores the interplay between the ordered divisions of cultivated land and the varied textures within them.
