THE ARTWORK
A different distance.
A new way of seeing.
Opened in 2003 in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, BHP’s Mining Area C forms part of an extensive iron ore landscape, further developed through the neighbouring South Flank operation. In the artwork, successive terraces build a long, layered band of orange, violet and green, while roads sweep through broad intervals of black. The eye follows these excavated ridges and branching routes across the image, tracing the relationship between the terrain and the industrial systems that reshape it.

An original artwork by Federico Winer, created from satellite imagery as part of the ULTRADISTANCIA project.
Available in a strictly limited edition of 5 + AP for each size. Every artwork includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity, sent separately once the artwork has been safely received.
Each print is produced individually to order.

Each finish offers a different way to experience the work. Paper and mounting materials vary according to the selected presentation.
Sizes refer to the print dimensions. Framing and matting add to the overall size of the finished piece.
