THE ARTWORK

A different distance.

A new way of seeing.

Located near Labrador City in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, Carol Lake is an iron ore mining complex operated by the Iron Ore Company of Canada. Its open pits, processing facilities and transport routes form an extensive industrial landscape . An extended passage of lime green, ochre and coral draws the eye across the upper centre. Below it, pale gold and peach formations gather into an intricate surface, punctuated by turquoise. Slender lines connect these larger masses to scattered blue, green and white fragments, extending the composition towards its edges.
