THE ARTWORK
The rhythm of cultivation.
A landscape woven in color.
In Colby, Kansas, a vast patchwork of agricultural fields unfolds in shades of yellow, ochre and cream, interrupted by dark green circles and vivid red accents. A broad band of pale turquoise crosses the composition, while winding channels and a long diagonal route cut through its closely fitted parcels. Part of Federico Winer’s FIELDS series, this work brings the immense scale of the cultivated landscape into view through the accumulation of small, distinct forms.
