THE ARTWORK
The rhythm of cultivation.
A landscape woven in color.
In Cuba Matanzas, broad circles and divided discs sit among narrow rectangular fields in saturated red, turquoise and deep green. Fine ochre roads connect scattered buildings and define the edges of cultivated parcels, while darker vegetation adds texture between them. Set in Matanzas, Cuba, this work from Federico Winer’s FIELDS series explores how contrasting agricultural forms fit together across a shared landscape.
