THE ARTWORK
A different distance.
A new way of seeing.
In Las Truchas Mine, a broad, sinuous line crosses the composition, linking pale excavations with scattered traces of orange, green and blue. Finer paths branch into the surrounding darkness, contrasting with the dense, layered forms of the mine. Seen from above, the landscape takes on the character of a drawing, where the routes of extraction give the image its movement and structure.
