THE ARTWORK

The rhythm of cultivation.
A landscape woven in color.

In Pas de Calais, brilliant orange fields interlock with near-black parcels, punctuated by olive green, yellow and pale pink. Their irregular shapes turn in different directions around clusters of villages, creating a restless geometry across the countryside. Set in Hauts-de-France, France, this work from Federico Winer’s FIELDS series reveals a cultivated landscape whose intricate structure emerges through field boundaries, fine planting lines and connecting roads.
