THE ARTWORK

The terrain cut open.
A study in diagonals and depth.

In Tarkwa Mine, a pale, irregular excavation emerges within broad diagonal bands of blue-grey, sand and charcoal. Fine contours gather around the central form, giving it the presence of a carved surface. Across the wider image, changes in texture and tone create distinct planes that appear to overlap. The composition moves between the detail of the exposed terrain and the bold geometry of its surroundings, revealing a landscape that reads simultaneously as a map and a sculptural relief.
